It is highly recommended to travel the Shimanami Kaido by bicycle so that you can really take in the beautiful scenery of the island-dotted Seto Inland Sea. Rental bikes are available at the Itoyama Cycling Terminal near the Itoyama Observation Platform in Imabari City. You can leave your bike at one of any ten drop-off sites along the coastal road. If you are traveling the coastal road at the time of a spring
tide, pause on the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge and look towards the
Kurushima Kaikyo Strait. |
