This is the world's largest
planetarium with a dome of thirty meters in diameter that can project
up to 25,000 stars. The planetarium program uniquely visualizes the
story "Life originating from cosmic space," inviting the
audience to voyage through the mysteries of the majestic cosmos. The
planetarium is one of the facilities of Ehime Prefectural Science
Museum which promotes and encourages interest in scientific explorations.
The museum has three permanent exhibit halls, "Nature Hall,"
"gScience and Technology Hall," and "Industry Hall,"
all of which are enjoyed by many visitors, especially children and
families.
Incidentally,the planetarium of the Ehime synthesis science museum was
authorized by Guinness Book of Records as the biggest size of a dome
in the world.
