 |
|
Along a 2-kilometer stretch
of white beach and pine trees facing the Inland Sea of Japan, a huge
circular sand sculpture with a diameter of as long as 122 meters suddenly
appears.
This sand sculpture is in the shape of Kanei-tsuho, an ancient Japanese coin widely circulated in the 17th century. The relief is said to have been made overnight to welcome a domain lord in those days.
The Hall of World Coins is adjacent to the sand sculpture.
